Early Years 0-3 Years

Our Early Years programmes at Little Scribblers aim to create a nurturing and responsive environment that caters to the unique developmental needs of babies and toddlers.

Guiding your child's development

In our nursery room, we focus on building trusting relationships between babies aged 0–18 months and their educators. We recognise the importance of having a trusted educator who can read each baby’s cues and respond with sensitivity and care. This fosters a sense of security and well-being.

For our toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years, we harness their natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. This pivotal stage is marked by an increasing awareness of independence. Our play-based education approach is tailored to their unique interests and needs. Our goal is to create an engaging and supportive environment where toddlers can explore, learn, and thrive.

Some of our nurturing techniques include:

  • Responsive interactions
  • Consistent routines
  • Positive reinforcement
  • Exploratory play
  • Emotional support
  • Encouraging independence
  • Language development
  • Social interaction
  • Observation and adaptation

Our strong relationships inspire learning

We see our Early Years Programme as your child’s first steps into the world and, more importantly, into learning. In this age group, our educators build authentic relationships with the children. This approach enables the children to develop feelings of safety, security, and belonging.

Our educators leverage their individual knowledge of each child to guide them through new experiences and challenges. We create engaging and interactive learning opportunities that align with each child's interests and inspire them to explore their surroundings. We carefully craft every experience, whether it's sensory play, imaginative play, or hands-on activities, to encourage active engagement and to inspire a love for learning.

As each child's communication skills rapidly progress, our educators prioritise building early literacy skills and fostering communication with others. Through storytelling, rhymes, songs, and interactive activities, we create opportunities for children to expand their vocabulary. They learn to express themselves and to engage in meaningful interactions with their peers and educators.

Did you know that children are born with a strong desire to learn?

At Little Scribblers, we understand that each new experience for a baby or toddler is a precious learning opportunity. These early experiences create vital connections in your child's brain, laying the foundation for all future learning and development.

Just like building a house, the early stages are crucial for everything that comes later. Learning for babies and toddlers happens naturally in their everyday routines. Our dedicated educators view routines as rich opportunities to introduce experiences that foster learning and growth.

Whether it's nappy changing, feeding, cuddling, waking up, or sleeping, every moment is a chance for children to move, communicate, explore their surroundings, and build relationships. Consistency in these routines is key, setting the stage for a lifetime of learning, wonder, and continual development. At Little Scribblers, we are committed to providing the nurturing and stimulating environment your child needs to thrive from the very beginning.
