Toilet training is a huge milestone for both children and parents. It’s an exciting step towards independence, but let’s be honest – it can also be a little daunting! Every child is different, and the process takes time, patience, and encouragement.
At Little Scribblers, we support families through this important stage by providing a nurturing and positive learning environment that reinforces toilet training routines in childcare and preschool. Whether you’re just starting out or facing a few setbacks, we’re here to help!

Solution: Some children are scared of the loud noise. Let them watch you flush and explain that it helps keep the toilet clean. If they’re still unsure, let them flush with your help until they feel comfortable.
🚽 Accidents keep happening
Solution: Accidents are normal and expected! Keep extra clothes handy and avoid making a big deal about it. Try reminding them more often and encourage them to use the toilet before playtime or outings.
🚽 My child is doing well at home but not at childcare
Solution: Changes in routine can affect toilet training. Talk to your child’s educators to ensure they are reinforcing the same approach as you do at home. At Little Scribblers, we always work closely with families to provide a consistent, supportive experience.
